Paddle Face Eraser

A rubber block that lifts court grime out of a paddle face. It looks trivial and it is the single cheapest thing you can do to keep a paddle gripping the ball.

Why this matters more than it sounds

• Spin comes from friction between the ball and the face. Grit fills the texture and the face goes slick — the paddle has not worn out, it is dirty
• Works on raw carbon and textured faces, where the texture is the material rather than a coating
• Small enough to live in a bag and use during a break between games
• Also lifts scuffs and marks from minor surface scratches

How to use it

Rub the face in short strokes and brush the residue off. Do it after outdoor sessions rather than once a season; grit that has been ground in during play is far harder to shift than grit removed the same day.

Good to know

An eraser restores a dirty face. It cannot restore a face that has genuinely been polished flat by hundreds of hours on rough outdoor courts — at that point the texture itself is gone and no cleaning brings it back. Used regularly from new, it delays that point considerably.
