Choose 16mm if you want control and a longer dwell time on the face. Choose 14mm if you want a faster, more powerful response and are confident in your hands at the net.

Care

Wipe the face after outdoor play so grit doesn't polish the texture away. Keep it out of a hot car. A 4.25 in grip circumference suits most adult hands; add an overgrip to build it up slightly if you prefer a thicker handle.

Good to know

Thermoformed paddles are stiffer than standard cold-pressed builds. If you are coming from a basic starter paddle, expect a firmer, more direct feel.

The power, control, spin, forgiveness and manoeuvrability scores are Pickleball Gear Co.'s own assessment based on the paddle's published construction — core thickness, face material, core type, shape and weight. They are not lab measurements and not player review scores. A thicker core scores higher on control and lower on power; a rougher carbon face scores higher on spin; an elongated shape scores lower on forgiveness than a wide-body.
