The frosted face is the point of this one. A textured, unsealed surface grips the ball itself instead of relying on a paint layer, so the spin it produces does not fade as the finish wears. Wipe it down after outdoor sessions and that texture lasts considerably longer.
The power, control, spin, forgiveness and manoeuvrability scores are Pickleball Gear Co.'s own assessment based on the paddle's published construction — core thickness, face material, core type, shape and weight. They are not lab measurements and not player review scores. A thicker core scores higher on control and lower on power; a rougher carbon face scores higher on spin; an elongated shape scores lower on forgiveness than a wide-body.
